Safe Routes to School is a proven way to get kids active and make communities safer and stronger. For the past 20 years, cities across Colorado and the country have embraced Safe Routes to School programs. It’s time for Centennial kids to join in.

ballot initiative timeline
December 2026: Submit petition and ordinance language to Centennial City Clerk
January – June 2027: Collect signatures to get our ordinance on the municipal ballot. We need 4500 signatures!
July 2027: Submit signatures to Centennial City Clerk
November 2027: Vote YES on Safe Routes to School!

Spread the word! We need support from schools, PTOs, neighbors, HOAs, businesses, and anyone that wants to build a safer, stronger community
Get active! Walk, bike and roll to school whenever you can. Form a bike bus or walking train with your neighbors – there is fun, safety, and strength in numbers. Tell your school to celebrate active kids as much as they can. Visit our resources page for ideas.
Gather signatures! Whether you canvas your neighborhood or host a signing event at your school, we need community members to put in the work. If 100 people get 45 signatures, we are on the ballot. Our kids are counting on us!
Support our work! (COMING SOON) Donate or purchase gear to show your support. We are a registered non-profit organization that is 100% volunteer-run; all proceeds go directly to getting our initiative on the ballot and written into law.
